Hpa An (The hidden jewel of southern Myanmar)

Hpa-An is a small city  surrounded by lush green rice fields, limestone mountains with the tallest being Mt Zwegabin.

Hidden away in the hills the cave was discovered in 1975 and contains thousands of 7th century tiny clay Buddha images and carvings, hidden precariously over the walls and roof of the main cave.

Experience the local life, hike, visit the world’s biggest lying buddha or explore the rice fields. Take about two full days to explore Hpa An as your weekend escape.
